By default, the DWF
files that you create are in a compressed binary format. This is
the recommended output for most DWF files.
The compression does not result in any loss of
data; this is the recommended output for most DWF files. You can
also create zipped ASCII encoded 2D stream (plain text) files. You
specify these settings when you create or edit a DWF configuration
file.
To specify the DWF file
compression
- In the Printer/Plotter area, in the Name
list, select a DWF plotting device. Click Properties.
- In the Plotter Configuration Editor,
Device and Document Settings tab, select Custom Properties from
the tree window.
- In the Access Custom Dialog area, click
Custom Properties.
- In the DWF6 ePlot Properties dialog box,
in the Additional Output Settings and in the DWF Format area, specify
a file compression option. Click OK.
- In the Plotter Configuration Editor,
click OK.
- In the Changes to a Printer Configuration
dialog box, do one of the following. Then click OK.
- Select Apply Changes for the Current
Plot Only to specify a one-time override of the configuration settings
that isn't saved to the DWF6 configuration file.
- Select Save Changes to the Following
File to save the configuration changes to the DWF configuration
file.
- In the Browse for Plot File dialog box,
in the Save In location list, select a plotting location for the
DWF file, and click Save. Click OK.
